I have in past in several posts provided links to the A,plimo speaker relays that were developed special-purpose for speakers. They use a 100A tungsten contact bridged after a few msecs with a gold contact. On break, the gold opens first, then the tungsten. 12 $ each.

Thanks Jan! Now that looks interesting! I would have to put these on a PCB but i think i can make that work.
I wonder who really makes those as i would bet that is someone elses relay relabeled. or they were custom made for Amplimo eitherway those look interesting. Zc |

I wonder if i could double up the relays? While the contacts are rated high. those thin legs dont look like they would handle that much current. I wonder what ill effects there would be if i were to put two of these relays in parallel per channel?
