Sounds good. For the image gallery, I am a program called Gallery. Here is the webpage:
http://gallery.menalto.com/

My friend runs it on his webserver. To run it, it requires running an Apache 1.x webserver, which is now available for these platforms: Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, HP-UX, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Mac OS X, Windows 2000 and Windows NT.

It is a neat program that allows web-based uploading and management of your galleries.

The best part is that it is open source software and free. Here is the software on SourceForge:

I'm booked into the Boardwalk Hotel/Casino, on the strip, not far from the convention center
I stayed there last time I was in Vegas, it's a bit basic as far casino hotels go, but the beds are comfy and it's all very clean. If the cab driver doesn't know it, (mine didn't), it's between the Monte Carlo (next door) and Bellagio (down a bit)

It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the LVCC, but very convenient for all the other big hotels, if you want to just wander around for a bit.

Thanks Al,

It's alway nice to get a feel for the lay of the land. I've only been to Vegas twice, and of that the first was nearly 30 years ago for one night. I'm sure thing have change since then. The last time they were just finishing the Excalibur about 12years ago.

I won't be doing much sight seeing. I'll have 2-1/2 days and plan on spending most of that time at the Alexs to see the audio stuff.

Thanks Brian,

I've downloaded the pertinent files (for Windows 2k) and I'll start going thru the Gallery web site. I have to first check on the Apache software. Comcast can be pretty lame sometimes.

To keep this from being a complete thread rip-off, here is my first ever music-video DVD. I received it from my son for Christmas. I was supprised how compelling the visuals are (not being part of the MTV generation as my son is).

Hi
This is what I bought for myself. It turned out to be quite a DIY project itself. So far I made 2 new baseplates, a new "thing" for making circles and next will be a router table, but first I'll have to do some research on how I want to build it.

The Bellagio has a buffet to die for. Don't miss it.

Last i was in Vegas was 3 NABs ago. We stayed at NY, NY. After the 1st day i just walked. About a 1/2 hr -- helped counter the buffet above.

Hi-lites were the triple DVD set of the 1st year of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (once you get past the name this is an amazing TV show), the Frank Zappa book Jocko Homo recommended (excellent), a baseball cap that is the Norwegian flag (i'm almost an 8th Norwegian ancestory-- way back), and a couple old tube radios.

I will possibly be there again next year, so if you go, drop me a line, and we will meet up for a pint!
