Default Lovely Winter look

Maybe I am becoming cheesy but I like the winter look A LOT! I kid you not!

I want palm trees, sand, shells, and cocktails for the summer, yellow-red leaves chestnuts and grapes for the fall, green buds and blossoms for the spring, too.

Default Now we have a "SNÖGUBBE"

Now we have a "SNÖGUBBE"
it is called so in swedish
"snow-man"

Gives a cosy feeling.

The warmth of a nice open fire
glows unto us in this igloo.

/halojoy
have seen more christmasses
than most of his fellow members
(might be bad or good - what do we know?)

PS. have you noticed
that the fanatic thing is almost burried now
in white soft frosen water -
still I prefer to use the term SNOW
gives me a nice chill up my backbones. DS

Question what do you prefer

to have a real christmas tree - from the deep forrest
or
plastic christmas tree - which can be used every christmas
in this case you can use spray for to get the "green smell"

plastic tree saves the cosumption of wood
and does not irritate allergic people

I myself, use my imagination. The tree is only in my fantasy
and in my TeleVision programs.

It is EVEN COLDER outside my window, now

-30.3 C
(-22.5 F)
If you do not believe me.
Take a walk here, and visit me.
Do not forget to put on some good clothes,
and cover your face with your scarf.
Noses get frozen easily.

I am sure we have some Russian or Alaskan people
who can set new diyAudio-member Colden Record.

/halojoy should go buy some food today
- but better hungry - than frozen to Death
so he stays indoors

Don't forget Canada. It is warm in Edmonton right now (-4 C) but i spent a month there were the temperature did not rise above 0 F and was more likely to be -30 to -45 C, and with the windchill between the apartment towers it hit as low as -120F. To get to class we rushed from apartment building lobby to lobby so we didn't freeze.

On another visit it got cold enuff (-45C) at nite that i had to take the battery out of the car if i wanted to start it the next day.

I'm happy to live in Victoria now, where real cold is warm in Edmonton. (a high of 7 C with lows between 1 & 4 are predicted thru Xmas -- no white one for us this year)

Why don't you write "location: Fun Lycksele, Sweden"

I think it's nice when people write where in the country they live.

halojoy lives in a nice part of Sweden. Look at the map and change direction north and slightly west up to Storuman and above. Eventually you come to Sarek National Park. Beautiful place with almost no people and noone who lives there. 100 x 100 km of pure wilderness, one of the few left in Europe.

Sarek is above the artic circle which means that the sun is always shining in the summer, day and night. Cool feeling.

Check here, lot's of pictures but no english text, I'm afraid.

Hi halojoy, Brrrrrrrr, That's cold. Here in Holland we are just at the freezing point (0 degree Celcius)
I am looking forward visiting you but I usually spend my holidays in much warmer areas like Greece.
Merry Christmas!
