I'm setting up a home theater system.
What I'm using: Denon AVR-2105 (http://www.denon.co.uk/site/frames_m...detail&Pid=146) Speakers left over from a Philips MX5900SA (http://www.amazon.com/Philips-MX5900.../dp/B0006TVZ0O) - all of which are 4 ohm loudspeakers. Some Boston shelf speakers - 8 ohm loudspeakers. What I want to do: Use the Philips Sub-Bass Pipes and as front speakers with two of the surround speakers sat on top (in the seats on the pipes, where they belong) - wired in series in order to boost the ohms to 8 on each front channel. Use the remaining Philips speakers as surround left and right. Use the Boston speakers as surround back. Eventually, I'll get a preamped subwoofer Does this all seem right? Or have I lost the plot? Thanks. Scott |
