jpg. pics too large to paste

I've alot of tech pics in jpg +750Kb which would be interesting for others to view; Is there an easy way to scramble the size down to fit forum size requirements of 100Kb?? Bear in mind I've only basic programs inmy IBM.

you should be able to get a free http://photobucket.com account to host pics - no ads like yahoo and some other free sites

just post links to your pics on photobucket

your pics may be too big for the free service 1024 x 768 Pixels max, $25/yr gets 2x each dimension


750K may too big/slow loading for many users so inline "[img] tags might annoy some

Paint in Windows lets you crop, resize

Resizing is also easy with MS Photo Editor

You can also upload them to http://imageshack.us, and then post thumbnails here with links to the full-size pictures. Imageshack gives you all that code (for thumbnails) when you upload something.

If you are using Windoze XP, then go to the Microsoft site and download the Image Resizer.

The link is to the MS Power Tools page. Look on the right for the list of links to the downloads.

This is a VERY handy tool. I've given it to a lot of friends who kept sending me HUGE photos. No need to any more! Just use the resizer tool. You'll thank me for it.
