I have a similar project in mind, using two or more WM-61A's for a measurement micriphone.

The INA217 looks very promising. My question, as a novice builder, is: can I hook up two or more INA217's using a single 9V battery? The specs say minimum voltage + 4.5 V. It doesn't have to be a split supply, does it?

After looking at Mouser and Digi-Key, I notice the INA217 is not available.

Also, since I am considering up to four separate channels, it is a tad pricey-though not out of range if it really is the only chip usable.

Are there any slightly cheaper alternatives that might be available? I'm hoping to power everything off a 9 volt battery if possible.
