I wasn't sure where to put this so I put it in everything else. I'm building this from stuff I have laying around taking up space, so I decided they would take up less space if all in one box
What do you guys think of my idea for a decent sounding portable system for diskman/ipod? Diagram is attached. The two woofers on either side are 4 inch 6 ohm kevlar cone , the one in the middle is a 100w 6.5 inch sub, all drivers are recycled from other junk. I have a 22 watt amp I'll powere the sub channel with, and a 2x6 watt for the mids. I will encase the mids to isolate them from the sub. I'm using 3/4 inch birch for construction. I really can't use winisd because I dont have the t/s paremeters for the woofer, because I scavenged it out of an old ht sub. Somewhere in all that mess I'll make room for the amp and a 12v SLA battery. Doesn't have to be ultra hifi or anything, just enough to project loud in an outdoor environment or for parties. I probably wont need much responce below 45 hz or so, if that. The deminsions of the box are 18 1/2 " long x 12" deep x 8 inches tall. ( thats inside paremeters) How good of bass responce can I expect? And does anyone have any other ideas for improvment? |
