You've probably heard this complaint before, but...

Begin Rant:

Can we start closing threads in the "For Sale"
section? I have listed below some of the original
posting dates of threads currently displayed on the
FIRST PAGE of the For Sale section.

06-13-2005

11-19-2003

01-28-2006

08-29-2004

03-05-2006

11-24-2002

07-27-2004

I haven't done a lot of research, but it loooks like
people are responding to threads and they dont
realize that they are YEARS old.

End of Rant.

P.S. Begin mini rant:

YES, I SEARCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

End mini rant.

Wow, such anger and hatred from me today.

Hey, I just complain, i don't come up with solutions!

I like the button idea.

In addition:

How about an automatic expiration date? If it hasn't sold in
X number of months, it gets closed auomatically.

If the seller is still motivated, he can re-list or re-open the
thread for another X months.

(My reccomendation for X is about 3 months, but maybe
someone else can chime in)

Another solution would be the ues of a cattle prod on anyone
who doesn't behave the way I think they should...

It's great being arrogant!

Thanks for listening, Chris.

OLD POSTS in general...

Hey Herm,
I was hoping someone else would drift by and comment as well.

It would be good if it was more obvious about the date of the thread in general. Something about the current ergonomics that allows people to do this over and over again. Not just "for Sale" threads. "It happens a lot...enough that I would comment on it."

As far as I understand, the entire "joint" is being redesigned so now is definitely the time to squawk yer problems. If you become the squeak, you will get the grease! ;) ...or so it has been said.

Cheers,

Shawn.
