Default How to search...

How do I search for "t-amp" ? It always returns no hits, I assume cuz it interprets the -amp as "don't include hits w/ the word amp".

Hints?

Select "search entire posts." Or you can use google too.

The google tip is good, but I don't understand the other tip.

There is a "search entire posts" option that is on my default, is that what you are talking about?

Go search for just: t-amp you will only get about 21 hits (too small), and you are only getting those hits because "tamp" shows up in the post, not "t-amp".

you look through a few posts for hints about other unique words or phases

for instance: tripath, "sonic impact"

Yep. Also try what jcx suggested.

Okay, so the short answer is: it's a bug in the forum software, there is no built in workaround (using quotes, backslashes, whatever)

Fair enough.
