I have been recording to my computer from some old vinyl (which is not available on CD), using Cool Edit 2000. I have encountered a problem with some records where, even though I have the line in set to the lowest possible volume, it is still overloading in Cool Edit and distorting. Is there any way I can reduce the strength of the signal going from my amplifier to my computer?
Please put any answers in simple language - I am a technological illiterate! |

MoJ,
Lower the input fader in windows recording control. In my case it's the Line in. Edit: I see you set it to lowest. Are you sure you didn't use the Mic in? /Hugo |
