I have this half completed schematic. on the right i have a switch with a debounce circuit and on the left i have a push on push off circuit using a 555 timer to drive a relay. i am aware that the output from the swith debouncer will be a pulse and that the switch on the 555 circuit is used in a different way. there for i have no idea how to connect the 2 togeather. can anyone help me?
i dont know if i can post images here so if someone would like to help ill e-mail them the schematic. many thanks gavin |

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish, but the article here tells how to use a 555 as a relay driver.
Your logic circuit looks like a button debouncer, but there is no "memory" in your circuit, so if you're trying to make a push on/push off control for the relay I think you need to make some changes. I_F |

you want a flip-flop between the debounced switch pulse and the 555. You can buy an IC or make your own with few parts.

The lefthand push on/off circuit (soft switch or whaterer) with the 555 works i have both beradboarded it and etched a pcb. The 555 circuit is from elektor electronics. after i built the pcb i noticed it suffered from bounce which brings me to where i am now.
thanks for the info gavin |
