Recently I've been using a lot of Hypex equipment - merrily blowing stuff up and generally thrashing things as I learn how to use it.
It's easy here (hooray!) to get a pile of usable info on a wide range of things but almost impossible to track down a single specific question (like my PSU question in Class-D thread) that I am certain that others have already solved. Would it be worthwhile to start a new section (or three) broken down by mfgr and model specifically for troubleshooting and repair as opposed to general building and sourcing? Hypex, for example, has no such resource. For us guys still on training wheels it'd be a huge help! A giant database on how to recover (or deal with) the inevitable failures we all experience. ex: Repair and Troubleshooting Hypex --> Amps --> UCD180 --> (permanant) Board map threads.... UCD400 --> (permanant) Board map threads.... Power supplies ST --> (permanant) Board map threads.... etc for Tripath, Pass ... Anyway, I thought it might be a good idea. What do you folks think? PS. Feel free to roast me alive if it's already here somewhere... Best regards, Tom |
