New category " Reference information" ?

Would it be a good idea to have a Reference category which gives links to useful articles/ books / software.

An example is the Audio Precision books which are available for free download. Then there is the famous Radiotron text , free pcb software and many others. There is another Digital Electronics text book for free download .

If we compile them all , it should become a pretty useful resource for all especially newbies . No need to host all the files , just the links are enough. We can put them under different headings.
Everybody comes across something new every once in a while.
