I had the idea of using these wonderfully powerful neo magnets, to create a floating equipment stand/platform.
The theory is to use the repelling force of 2 (more needed for the final product) neo magnets place N pole to N pole to float a shelf capable of supporting equipment (CD/AMP etc.)
The question is would this work and how can I calculate the amount and size of magnets needed to lift a certain weight?
Any comments would be helpful!
