What can be put near a monitor?

What equipment can I put near a monitor? Just like this, because I'll move some things in my room soon and I'll have no other choice than putting some equipment next to my PC monitor. I know that the turntable and tape deck can't go there, but what about the amplifier and CDP?

If you are concerned about the monitor, test it. If you are concerned about the equipment, listen to it. I wouldn't hesitate to put magnetic recording/playing equipment next to a monitor... and I wouldn't hesistate to move the stuff it showed degraded performance.

The only thing I'd be cautious about is using mag tape *right* next to a monitor, as the deguassing field might tend to partially erase it - unlikely, but worth bearing in mind.

I hear the degaussing sound in my superscope(on the top of a TV) when it's playing and that someone starts the TV. I guess that it's not a good idea to put it there.

What I'm thinking about is especially the RFI.
