Yamaha DSP-E300 Service Manual?

Does anyone have it available for *free*?

A brother from my church has given me one of these to try to fix for him, he says the volume control is intermittent. It's some sort of rotary encoder/digital control, not a pot.

Any help? Ideas? Past experience?

The block diagram in the owner's manual calls out a six-way volume control, which confirms to me that it is a digital thingy since the volume control on the front panel has 3 wires to it. what sorts of waveforms should I be looking for when the volume is turned? I am guessing some consistent combination of highs and lows, corresponding to a changing audio 'line' level signal voltage to the preamp section... right?
