Default ATV Lighting

MY atv only puts out 12-14v at high rpm at around 2 or 3 amps, is there a way I could up the amp output without changing the stator/magneto assembly, I want to run a pair of 55w halogen lights off of it, im considering a battery but that wil add weight.

What's an ATV?

A bigger alternator is the only way to get more current...

ATV= all terrain vehicle... Like a '4wheeler'

Adding/upgrading the battery might be one solution,if you don't plan on running the lights continously,or for long times..They'll eventually drain the battery,and it will take a while for it to recharge from the ATV..

Getting a larger magneto/alternator setup would be the best bet.
Or finding some bright lights that use less power?

Oh, one of those Honda type things! Obvious really!

Those discharge lamps seen on high end cars are supposed to be more efficient, that might be one, (expensive), route you could take.
