Default Who has the dirtiest office or lab?

Now,

I won't go first... 'cuz I think I'll be the winner, but let's see some photos of the dirtiest lab or office, shops or garages count too...

I have decided to clean mine today -

This is my "Room Of Doom" (ROD for short) AKA,My Mad Workshop.

Yep,It's a distaster. (kind of an old pic,but it still looks similar.)
http://www.users.qwest.net/~ptaylor/Stuff/RODentry.jpg

Boxes of Speakers,Tubes,Car parts,etc.. It's all there.

I finally cleaned it up enough to be able to find and sit in the chair, and cleared off just enough room on the bench for a project to sit there for testing.... But it's still a disaster.

D4mn Chris,

I knew in some way we were kindred spirits!

You know, I need some of those little drawer thingies...

Do any of your 4000 girls ever come in to your cave?

Oh... a small bit of expertise... your wife is only unhappy with you if she loves you... otherwise she is gone...

#$%^&*! I could have been a contender... but I just cleaned up.

Anatech... the fact that all those little drawers are still in the cabinet should be a disqualification! Further, I see a clear indication that you have rackmounted equipment. Equipment should be stacked on boards & bricks, or, strewn about on the floor.

Enough said.

Carry on.

Chipco,

You are right about Anatech's drawers... maybe his majesty just moderates and doesn't build anymore...

I am NOT seeing the empty Jack-in-the-box wrappers and soda cans I was hoping for...

My little "closet workshop".
That hairy beast loves to sneak in there and chew on wires and stuff. The day I get my 813 amp with its 900V PSU finished heŽd better change his habits or he might learn a lesson the hard way

Hate to say it but you guys are neat and tidy compared with a buddy of mine. Now, I'm pretty messy guy, a lot like your pictures, but none of these even deserves mention compared with him and his girlfriend. They live on a half acre in a big house.

Their entire house, driveway, yard , gardens, shops, greenhouses, storage areas and patio have become one big storage area. They not only hang on to their priceless treasures, they collect others.

Everything from a twin V8 planing hull and a 27" Catalina, both ready to go, down to some dead fall arbutus they will mill and use at their cabin. There is no opportunity for them to entertain as the only room left is the last of the front yard, the pond and the pathways through the house. It is unbelievable. I just "borrowed" an entire Oak and melamine kitchen cabinet set for my girlfriends place from their garage and it didn't make a dent.

Now I know this isn't electronics but I had to add this. It is beyond belief. These are very educated and hygenic people, they just love keeping that which comes their way. And sometimes search it out.

If they'll let me, I'll do a photo expose.

Has any body ever noticed?

Sometimes, you wake up, and some one has broken into your house? Your booze is gone... your house is a mess... the dinner is rotting on the table... but, nobody took your speakers? or amp?

Marino...

Nice work transforming that space into a "zero car garage". Floor is totally obscured with no decent path in or out. Great job. However, I did notice some tools still on their shelves and there was no drill bit left in the drill press.

Mzzj.... Looks good EXCEPT AREN'T THOSE BRAND NEW WORK BENCHES??? NO CIGARETTE BURNS?

I would like to show you the soldering iron burn in the den rug. Perhaps my wife could show you where the resistor tail stuck in her foot in the bedroom.

Never the less... keep up the good work!

To be honest, it's never occurred to me to photograph it. It's not what I think of as picture material. But this thread came along and...

EDIT: I beat you guys with my carport alone, I can hardly wait to see if planet10 offers forth. He's in the running. But still there's no comparison. Dave still has room if two people want to pass on the way to the washroom.

you know you're a slob when you turn your "trow" inside out instead of washin' em. At Rutgers U. in NJ, it's known as "flippin your drawers".

It's not that dirty right now -- now dust bunnies:

Hi Poobah,
Okay, you're on now. All my shots turned out yellow and blurry. Have to fix that to get all you fella's some "money" shots.

Yes my parts drawers are closed. I'm really a neat freak! And my rack mount gear is sitting on shelves and other gear. There is a rack behind me with more mess and gear. The relay rack I posted only has routers, patch panels, modems and switches on it. The board beside is my phone system. (all my daughters have voicemail - no more writting messages from boyfriends ).

jackinnj, nice bench. Look at all that open horizontal surface! I know how to fix that!

Cal, the last vacuum I took down here ...... died. It was a horrible, smokey death. Wife was again, not impressed with me. So your pictures need to be of your electronics bench, or woodworking only. Come on dude, show!

First thing to do if you want to be a contender is to cover those windows. Can't possibly be in the running with that much natural light in the room.
