Hello,

I have finished my DIY copper foil speaker cable. I have used 2 layers of 0,12x32mm for each pole, per cable, sandwiched like

/+/ - /+/ - /

Now, is it better to sold a connector or small piece of wire in the ends?
Or just twist the ends do they can connect in the binding post holes?

Sorry for my english, I don't know if I was clear...

Oh, this cable if to use with a Fostex FE108ez full range, and a tube amplifier. But I don't have the amplifier yet. I'm burning in the speaker with a Pioneer RECEIVER first. Can I use this cable with the receiver?

Thanks

I use silver solder to connect the copper foil to a gold plated spade lug. This provides both a very physically solid spade to clamp onto the amp screw terminal, and freedom from oxidation. Copper oxidizes very quickly, so your options are either solder to gold or perform frequent cleaning.
