Angry Electronics World Magazine have lost the plot..!!!!!

Folks will recall that i promised to write a simple article on amp. design here:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...688#post484688

I contacted Svetlana Josifovska (editor) with the obvious view to getting it published...

...only to be told by the worthy that Electronics World no longer pays authors for their work!!

In other words, send your work in...if we like it, we shall publish...and you wont get a penny..!!:

Insane or what??!!!

Hi mikeks,
Put it in a PDF and publish it here yourself. No money, but it will be read by many. You have already done the work and you should be recognised for it.

I hope you told them no, as they run their business on that kind of content. Pretty silly really

Unfortunately, it's been many months of hard work...in my spare time...

Would certainly like to get some monetary reward for it...

Hi mikeks,
I can't argue with you there. It would be such a shame to throw it away, that's all. Possibly a US magasine?

200 pounds will get you the new CSS FR125S drivers in a decent set of DIY boxes.

C'mon Mike.........you really don't expect to be paid that much by any magazine. None of the ones that I know of pay even a trifling 200 quid.

Has nothing to do with the actual value or merit of your work. Just the way things go.

So, did Graham Maynard do his series of EW articles for free? Must be the prestige that attracts authors.
Of course, I bet Nelson doesn't charge AudioXpress...and he probably needs neither.
