You should probably look the word psychosomatic up in the dictionary. I don't see how it could apply to listening.

The OED says "of or relating to the interaction of mind and body" (in addition to the more common illness related definition), which seems appropriate.

Pyschosomosis is really applicable only to internal medicine, i.e. are my symptoms real or imagined? Pyschoacoustics applies to whether or not a person actually hears something or imagines it or is engaged in wishful thinking.

In any case a good listener with excellent hearing can usually hear almost any change made to his or her regular system.
