Pickering XV-15 625E pickup

Having looked at my fathers vinylplayer (technics SL-D2 with a pickering XV-15 625E pickup) I figured, why not build a phonostage for my preamp (sugden AU41) but I soon realized I didn't know alot about Vinylplayers. So, for this pickup do I need a MM or a MC phonostage and where can I find schematics and such?

The pickering XV-15 625E is a MM pickup.

I have got one of these pickerings aswell.
It is old and I have never listened to it but I belive it is good.
