took a couple pics of my soon to be completed rack.... i used 3/4 birch for the bottom, and 1/2" birch for the other 3 shelves... the shelves measure 24"x24" (its a monster) .... i used 1-1/2" OD PVC pipe with 1/4" threaded steel rod running through it..... each shelf will have the PVC filled with sand to help with vibrations..... this is pretty much a flexy rack that looks a little nicer in my opinion.... bottom shelf is 14" high while the others are 10" high...... they will be stained like my DIY speaker stands with the PVC painted in a hammered black to match as well........
im also going to drill a 2" hole in the rear of the shelves to run the wires through

im considering it....... the birch ply looks really nice with the red mahogany stain im using...... so if i can find a veneer to match i will do it.... nice thing is i can do the veneer after im already using the stand
