Transition or crossover piece?

joensd 21st March 2005 12:45 PM

For example you have two pipes of different diameters and need an "adapter" in between you COULD say "Übergangsstück" although I´d guess there´s a more technical term for it.
It´s an odd word to say the least.
Do you have a whole sentence/context with it?

Hallo Joensd:

It´s an acessory for an angle meter device or clinometer made by Reglus AG

Note that they couldn´t translate neither

Scroll down to botton page

Set Nr. 424 Version B

Thanks a lot for emergency support

Funny webpage.
The swiss are known for precision work; I guess they still have to project that onto their websites.;)

The "Übergangsstück" must be a kind of junction between two of the parts. As I don´t know about goniometers and can´t find a better drawing it´s quite hard to say anything.

I dropped them an email. Let´s check the service!

If it was me I would call it an "adapter".

This dictionary is rather good and has also swedish but the best part is good explanations for every word.

I think that is an error on the page.
imo, it is the same as the "joint for magnetic base"
Which has the same code number too.

I worked with angle meters from early age, you do not need other than the items listed.

"Ubergangsstuck" is "joint" in this case, the part that connects the clinometer to the magnet.
joint is the same as an adapter, adapter is the British way, Joint is American.
btw, Reglus makes marvellous equipment.

se voce necesitar a outra explanacao tecnica voce esta livre emitir uma letra.
