1-tube Regenerator

Over on another thread we were talking about old Electronics magazines.... Percy mentioned that if i ran across a 1 tube regenerator he'd be interested in that (i've only a vague idea what it even is

)

Well, 290 minutes later, flipping thru the June 47 Radio-Craft low & behold...

Cool!
Its basically a shortwave radio. Regeneration is a kind of amplification - some would say positive feedback.
Tricky to tune but fun.

A Regenerative receiver can also have pretty good audio quality if the "Q" of the regen circuit is low.
