Hi all
I googled my way to this board to ask you guys this question. A friend is starting a shop and I am helping him. He sells clothes and accesoires. Definately a nice opportunity to spice up the shopping experience with music. His situation is the following: situation - Limited budget ($600) - 3 rooms to cover (the rooms have no closed doors) - He just wants a amplifier with a CD player and enough decent speakers to mount on the ceiling or near the ceiling on the walls. - He wants the speakerwires and the installing of it all as easy as possible. ------------------------------------------- What would be our options? I am thinking about using an amplifier and CD player we already have. Unless we need something else for a suggested system... maybe... I am curious to hear your tips on a suitable sound system. Thanks for the help! Martin |

Is he selling clothes to young boppers? SO he might want dance music at fairly loud levels, or is he selling nice clothes to business types and would want pleasant background music - we refer to it as elevator music. High schools students will respomd to different things than women working in offices.
Does he want to have music, or does he want to pay attention to it and change CDs through the day etc? A small sattelite radio reciever will pick up constant music of most any type you want, and you let it run all day without a thought. It costs a few dollars a month for the service. If you want disco sound throughout the shop you need some speakers and amps. If you want background music, a couple small stereo systems from the local electronics retailer will be fine. What are your needs? |
