Default Re-case a mackie 1400i

So I may be using a mackie 1400i for a sub amp. Problem is - I don't really like the industrial looks. I know I could tuck it away in a cabinet, but I was wondering if it is possible (and how hard for a novice with limited tools) to put it in a new, sleek case? Any opinions out there?

You could probably put a new face on it easily enough, just don't get in the way of it breathing. The case is part of the cooling system, both as a radiator and as a wind tunnel.
