Soldering silver plated wire?

Hello, I'm buiding some simple interconnects but I curently have a problem. I'm using a RG-6 cable that is a king of silver plated, when im soldering it, the lead won't solder on wire at all. The solder im using is a 60/40 w/flux in it...
I'm mostly begineer at soldering but with gold plated interconect and copper wire I don't have any problem.
What should I do?

The solder is simply "floating over the wire"!

The solder was resin core... and teh "silver" plated wire was really heated a lot! It change noting, the solder don't stick on...

Any trick or solder to suggest?

RG6 hasn't silver plated wires, IMHO.
(AL braid, Cu plated FE)
You waste your time, IMO.

Soldering to steel or aluminum, forget about it.

Just buy copper core and braid if you need to solder. Usually these cables are used with crimp connectors.

tanks, I know that i have the choise between 95% shielded rg59 or 70% RG-6.
Theyr are both copper braid...
Witch is better for running 30 feet wiring to a projector?
