Prayers are fine, but donations are better since they help the living. Everyone, please dig deep and give what you can! There are lots of organizations that are jumping in with aid and assistance, and they all need your help.

In the US, CARE and UPS have combined to allow you to donate electronic goods at UPS outlets (formerly Mailboxes Etc). They resell the items and use the proceeds for the Asian Rescue Fund.
If you're in a big city with a large Asian population, there are other private charities who will make excellent use of any money you can throw their way. Or give to CARE or American red Cross directly; they're great organizations with a fine track record of helping.

The US Red Cross has a number 1-800-HELPNOW -- kind of swamped with calls right now. Another good charity in this area is Catholic Relief Services -- hat's off to the Brits who raised 40mm pounds in 24 hours.
