Toshiba SD1300 DVD Player

Hi All,

I was wondering if i can be helped.
My DVD player is giving me problems. It's not even a year old.

Problem 1: I don't have any display on the front panel even though they is power or a disk insereted.

Problem 2: Iam not getting any sound/Audio out of my DVD player even though picture plays fine.

hi

do you know to measure resistors with an ohmmeter???
you have to check on the secundary of the switchmode power supply for a burned fuse resistor.

try to find a +12 &--12 volts on the audio card (analog) near the rca jacks. most vfd (displays are fed with a negative 30 volts.
you should trace that voltage frome the supply.
some manufacturers use tha negative voltage to feed the negative side of the analog section .
