posting pictures procedure

can anyone explain to me and perhaps others, the procedure
for posting pictures? any help greatly appreciated.

Check below when you compose your message. Click at "browse" and choose a file from your harddisk. That's it!

when trying to post my pics[4] it says file to large. i croped the pics
and tryed again, same thing. i posted just one pic and got the
same result. what am i doing wrong?

how does one go about reducing the number of k-byets per pic?

Reduce DPI
Reduce size
Choose lower JPEG quality

Don't worry about the camera. A package like XnView can do all the conversion for you. Note you can always convert down from bigger/better images, but never go from small/crappy to bigger/better

Packages for cropping size are not necessary, practically any picture editor in Windows can resize pics to the desired scale.
Just open a picture and hit the edit button on the top bar.

XnView and IrfanView are free and are alot more powerful than what comes with windows.

If he goes GIF with XnView, (and probably Irfanview), he can select the DPI as well, which affects file size.

He can hook his digital camera right up to XnView and send the image there. Just click "Acquire".

PS: When using the scanner, (I've never used it for the camera), the image on XnView apears on the screen exactly 5 times larger than the actual picture size. Merely go to "View", click "Zoom" then click "20%", and the picture on your screen will correspond to the picture when it prints out.

You meant to say 1200x800 pixels and this no longer applies.
