Anyone know of some schematics or a kit that uses Numerical Segment LED's to read the Mains voltage?

There are gizmos that monitor power consumption, like the "Kill A Watt" It can also display voltage, line frequency, and power factor. Around $30 on Ebay, or try your local solar energy stores.

Bids start at $9.99. Since you said "mains", are you in the UK? Well, try Maplin or Velleman; they probably have kits or dirt cheap imported meters, or search ebay uk for panel meters. |
