I have a Dynaco PAS2 tube preamp that I upgraded to the Van Alstine SuperPAS Hybrid preamp. I LOVE this preamp and will not give it up!!!
I'm looking for a COMPLETE kit that would enable this to have a remote controlled volume control. I've seen some pots (google search) and rough schematics, but I don't want to go there. I'm also aware that I can put something in between the pream and power amp via line in/out - don't want to go there either. Is there a complete kit that I can integrate inside the preamp chassis, replacing the existing volume control? Or, does anybody have start to finish instructions on how to do this? I'm never sure, but I belive I need a 1. motorized volume control, 2. separate power supply, and 3. a circuit board to control the motorized control? |

I am considering the same thing. I have found several on the net. The best in terms of cost and features seems to be: http://www.altronics.com.au/index.as...=item&id=K5026 @~$40 Aussie bucks.
My perfect solution would be the same thing with the ability to independently control two pots - one vol and one bal. Mike |

The Altronics kit is quite good but the pot is ordinary. Change it to an Alps RK27112MC or a Panasonic (don't know the Model) and you're laughing.
