I'm looking for info on building some Kimber Silver Streak interconnects (both balance and unbalanced). The wire and connectors are easily available but I'm curious about the negative wire connections. I have heard that if you connect the positive wire (silver) at both ends and leave the (2) negative wires (copper) connected at the source end and unconnected at the other end than you get better sound. I don't understand how you can complete a circuit without a return line (negative). Has anybody out there taken one apart? Please add info as I'm sure many of us would like to copy this killer interconnect! Help please.
Thanks, John |

Just to clarify the positve and negative bit. I far as I know, the center pin on an RCA connector is the positve and the outer sleave is the negative. Is this correct?
Thanks again, John |
