I have two tempests subs which are about 20 feet away from the amp thats powering them..(approxametly 40 feet of 10 guage wire counting the turns..for each sub)..my question is ,is it better for me to move the amp closer to the subs let's say within 6 feet of them and use a longer line level sub cable coming out of my theater receiver...are there any benefits to doing this?

id stick with putting the amp in the middle with the receiver . pre amp on top speaker wires don't see that much interference as rca line level's too.
