That's a big subject.
Are you looking for details on the protocol for implementing it in your own microprocessor, or are you "simply" trying to get a network between some PC's up and running? I say "simply", as it can be either very simple, or annoying, depending on operating system and the will of god Gates... 
I don't know much about ebooks, but you can find most of the networking information... online.
