Hey guys, just joined this forum. I originally cut two headphones so I can make a TRS(Male) - TRS(Males) cable so I could hook my soundcard up to my stereo system. The only problem with that, is it goes into the microphone jack of the stereo and that produces some moderate noise/static. So now I'm trying to create a TRS(Male) to dual RCA (Male) cable so that I can hook up the PC to the stereo via the "video" function rather through the microphone. I was looking around to find schematics on the TRS jack, but I couldn't figure out which corresponded to what, like the tip or ring goes to left channel or right, and I'm assuming that the sleeve is ground. Also, do I have to consider the input/output impedances or balanced/unbalanced? Any help would be great.
