I can feel the attitude sometimes but I don't mind because it's only natural when those non-believers never meet the people they don't respect. Internet makes people to grow, more than they should and very great people tend to be not so "big". But the whole thng ends up in not to regard knowledge or education very high.
You can rather often read about teenagers or people a bit older, with no electronical education whatsoever believe that they really can create high-end from a bad and simple circuit. For this it takes a genius and how many genius' are there out there?

What I find a bit odd is that the entire thread ended up in Texas because some of the replies to the original post were personal attacks. I saw the original post as criticising a point of view and not aimed at any specific individual.
I also think this thread probably belongs in "Everything Else" rather than "Solid State". |
