Anodising aluminium

Anyone who wants an devorative anodised finish for his products can do this himself. (Altough not so easy)

I've been meaning to try this for a long time, but i've never gotten around to it. Maybe if i can get hold of the chemicals involved i'll give it a shot.

I have some big heatsinks for a future amp, wonder what color they'd look good in...

You could colour them any way you want. But Black would give you the lowest thermal resistance . If your sink ( in stock finish) is much bigger than required , you could possibly colour it anyway you want.

Hi,

You must be a real hardcore DIY to invest in such a hassle or have a lot of parts to be anodised. For the regular DIY it is more convenient AND cheaper to leave the anodising to a professional anodising company.
