This year, I am admitted to ESIEE in France (a grande ecole) to study "Signal Processing in Telecommunication." I am going to enter there at the 4ème année (graduating at the end of 5ème année, as "ingénieur").

I just want to know my chance of working in EU country as DSP-related-engineer. I heard that it is VERY tough for a non-EU citizen to work in EU, but what about DSP job market in EU? I presume that DSP programmers are relatively a few in EU.

I am reluctant to go back to my home country (Indonesia) after graduation, because there's no DSP industries there. Sorry to ask this question in this audio forum.... I tried to ask this in iAgora.com, but it requires me to pay some money. If there is someone here that could help me give a better picture of DSP jobmarket in EU (or in USA as well), I greatly appreciate it.

Merci,

The ESIEE is a good school and has a commensurate business network. However, as a specialisation, dsp is not at the moment the biggest employer -- but wireless global networks are. DSP is useful there...

You will get a job on the strength of:
either,
a) your technical knowledge and capability to design working solutions to tech problem OR,
b) because you are a good sales person (i.e. you have persuasive communication)

Focus on the two above -- whichever matches/expresses your personality:)
