Line Level Specifications

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find the typical specifications for a line level signal i.e voltage level etc as I would like to know how long I can run a length of cable before a distribution amplifier is required?

Hi M,

I'm no expert, but I'd say 1 Vrms gets you in the ballpark.

If you want a nifty intro to the physics of cables and other nifty audio stuff, check out:
