I's say he's got NUM LOCK on on a laptop. That tends to screw up the right side of the keyboard...

Thanks, Rune---that was it! I scanned my computer four times yesterday to no avail--no virus found. I must have hit the Number Lock key by accident somewhere along the line and most of the letters on the right side of the keyboard turned into numbers...

Now I'll be able to post to the forum here again thanks to you (and my thanks to others who tried to help me out).
