I have one of those, mostly it was used in analog computers. It used +300V/0/-300V supplies for that pair of 12AX7 tubes.

So I've watched many of his videos. So he definitely knows his stuff. So he's one of those people that starts many sentences with "So." So you better be ready. So I bet you can't count how many times he says it in a video. So give it a shot.

I was surprised he couldn't come up with a 300V power supply. Gear lining the room, but no high voltage power supply...strange.

Works extremely well, I’ve used it in several preamp builds

I usually enjoy his videos but he has one where he has every audiophool throwing out their Amperex and Mullard small signal tubes because of the flash. He says it's a manufacturing error and those tubes are no good because of the flash. Strange, I have had equipment from the 60's with those tubes in it and they still test strong and work perfectly. If they were doomed to begin with because of the dangerous flash those tubes wouldn't have lasted this long and people would have learned to stay far away from them.

But you are basing that on using an audio amp, while I bet the learned papers are concerned with laboratory circuits.
