Old LCD display as table monitor

Does anybody know - can be LCD display from broken notebook used as table LCD monitor for other PC? Is there any easy way to rebuild it?

i'd imagine if you can get the control and power boards too, that it might work. i'm only guessing though.

What do you mean broke.. cracked screen not lighting up..????
