Bill means there is no excuse

The current trend is for the designers at speaker companies to come up with a design then contact a manufacturer (in another country quite often) and have them produce a prototype which is evaluated and sent back for improvements. With the really big companies they own the manufacturing plant (but it may still be in another country). Pjay has a page called "Who owns what" on his website that gives some examples.
