Here is something I've wanted for years. This looks a lot cheaper than current models, but still not in my budget. 64 mems mics and a camera allow you to see sound.

A bit different, Microflown use proprietary, expensive velocity sensors paired with pressure microphones.
This system uses commodity MEMs microphones.
Not only are there the limitations to be expected from the much lower price but there are limits because they sense only pressure.
There has been a bit of discussion of this in the Klippel Nearfield Scanner thread.

The Microflown works in the near-field but this camera is far-field so the maths is somewhat different, simpler in the far-field but there are more limitations on resolution.
