Hi to u all,
i built a class A amplifier headphone ,a john linsley hood design on veroboard and have noticed that the two transistors on the right channel get hot quickly and after a while the heatsink cannot be touched whereas the left channel transistors remain warm.I have been listening hours of music with this amp and if something was wrong it should have malfunctioned earlier but no the sound is pleasant and clean and listening fatigue comes after really listening for a very long time. Can someone give an explanation for the above. Also JLH used a TL072 as the input device and although it gave good results,i found that an NE5532 was a better replacement as the high frequencies were bettered
