Hello all (again.. )
I have yet again another question. I want to be able to record guitar on my computer so i can play chord progressions and then practice lead stuff. Right now i'm just using the cheap built-in mic in the computer screen and miking the small computer speakers.. which are barely loud enough to be miked. I have a powered mixer setup/deal sorta thing, and want to connect the computer to the mixer so i can use that as an amp/speakers. I also want to be able to either plug my guitar into the comuter or into the mixer then the computer. Right now in order to get the volume loud enough to hear i gotta crank it up a bit, and it sounds pretty bad. I found a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter, but that was stero, and guitar is just mono..or whatever. (sleeve/tip.. no middle) Same with the inputs of the mixer. So my quesion is should i make my own adapter and just use the tip and sleeve, and leave the middle disconnected? I tried using the adapter but no sound came out of the mixer and the computer didnt find any signal from the guitar.. what should i do? Thanks.
