Default Ordering online from ON-SEMI?

I just handed over my credit card details for the first time online..
i ordered some power transistor samples from onsemi and had to pay for shipping..

please tell me people do this all the time?

Yes, it is standard procedure when shipping to most countries. Quite fair, IMO.

Has anyone ordered transistor samples from Onsemi?
Do they give samples, just like that, to anyone?
How many do they usually send?

Hi Optical,
yes, it's normal.

BUT only to HTTPS sites where your personal information is coded before sending down the line.

Check the address is still where you thought you were sending it.

Unfortunately some sites connect you to a weird address when using HTTPS and then it's difficult to decide if it's safe to send.

A further warning, check you have no phishing on your computer that might be able to read your keystrokes before coding and sending your info surreptitiously to an unknown site.
