I ask this because I have this software myself [EDS 3.1.6].
But... It appears they have gone out of business and vanished!

This is annoying because the software needs a security key floppy disk to activate it.
This is no problem I have the disk.
But..they do become corrupted from time to time:mad:
I have required replacements in the past.

Now that the company has ceased to be [Don't you just love to back a loser:rolleyes: ] if this problem occurs again I am stuffed!
Dead software:mad:  :bawling:

I would love to be able to back this key up...but thats the point ..
they are designed to prevent this!
I know little [nothing] about the subject.

I do not wish to jump on the Qickroute too hard yet as there is a
faint possibility that they may have relocated to San Francisco [They were in Halifax UK].
But if this is the case they have been mighty unprofessional about
it, as the company I originally purchased the software from, RS
Components also say they have also been left high and dry.
They told me that they had been informed the company went bust!

No doubt there are quite a few of their customers in a similar situation [in fact Qiuckroute had recently turned to using an online key system, so if that address is down like their main site....]

Sorry, I had to vent about this.
Though everything is OK at the moment, all it takes is a an intractable computer problem and or key failure and presto!
£££ useless software.

I understand the need to protect intellectual copyright etc
but I have never liked the fate of my tools attached by a thin umbilical cord to their creators.

Any thoughts about the security key issue?
